Sammy, Shannon, Dave, my sister (Sarah), Chris, Philo, and I all headed out to Prairie Meadows to see some of the first horse races of the season. It was a lot of fun - I didn’t bet on any horses (didn’t feel motivated to learn the complicated structure of horse bidding) but most other people did. As the night wore on Chris was betting more (I don’t think more than $10) and thus, winning more!
I got comfy at a blackjack table for about an hour (?) I came out about $15 ahead, so that was cheap entertainment for a while. I need to get more ballsy with my betting….have to play big to win big (or lose big)
We stayed there for about 5 hours and then Sammy, Shannon, Chris and I went to see Thank You For Smoking which was pretty funny, I liked it.
Sunday I slept in and Chris went golfing with dad and Sarah and then I met them out at the boat for a sail after their round was over.
Friday there wasn’t a lot going on….actually, I can’t even remember what we did, ha! :)
