Because I’m still a kid at heart, I’m going to write out the gifts I received - also, this helps me keep everything straight!

From Grandpa - money

From my future in-laws - Beautiful Christmas table linens (table cloth and cloth napkins), a candy jar with holly berries painted on and Christmas ornament with holly berries too (I love that they’re builiding up my holly berry decor!)
Penny also made us a 2007 calendar with pics of all of us and her kids - so cute! You can tell she put a lot of time into it. I’m very grateful that she made that!

From Dad - gift card to Starbucks that will last a LONG time (love it!), a framed print of an excerpt from this book. Dad is an old hippie and the author of this book is the real Alice that the 60s movie Alice’s Restaurant was based on. It’s really cute - my sisters also got one as well. Since we already had some cat prints up in our main floor bathroom, this one fits in perfectly! For Chris and I he spent quite a bit of time at a wine store working with an employee to boost up our wine collection! What a great idea! We got about 12-13 bottles of various reds and whites along with a couple bottles of Tawny Ports. Most of them we’ll drink whenever we feel like it, but one of them - bottled in 2003, can’t be opened until 2010 or 2012 and apparently it’s the most expensive bottle of wine dad’s ever bought…which is saying a lot (though he wouldn’t tell me the $$ amount). We’ll have to find a special occassion between 2010-2012 to open it up for.

From Mom - Gift card to Lowe’s which is greatly appreciated! Yay new house stuff!

From Amy, Eric, and Sarah - This is awesome - the 3 of them pitched in together as a Christmas/wedding gift and got us the new digital camera we’ve been wanting!! The Canon Elph 550. Thanks guys! That was a VERY good gift idea! It’s nice to have a new model that functions exactly the way it’s supposed to and is probably less than 1/2 the size of the other.

From Chris (he did a good job :) ) - Both as a stocking stuffer and regular gifts, the movies: Batman Begins, All About Eve, and Zoolander, 3 nice picture frames I’d pointed out that I loved at Target (way to listen! :) ), “Lovely” perfume, a sample of 4 different green teas from Gong Fu Tea (that came in an awesome box I’ll have to figure out where to display).

Thanks everyone!! We also had a nice dinner that dad, mom, Sarah, and I put together (Amy and Eric needed to get back to KC to spend the rest of Christmas Day with Eric’s fam) - ham (I can’t believe how easy it is to make a really good tasting ham), green bean casserole, corn casserole, jell-o bell things (pears in jell-o), salad. I completely forgot about rolls so Sarah ran out and since the only thing open was gas stations, she bought Wonder bread hamburger buns and made her own garlic cheese toast :)

Alright - time to start my day. Go tanning (get color for wedding), run to mall with Sarah, go to a movie. Ahh, vacation.
